Raymond Verheijen thinks Aaron Ramsey should leave Arsenal

Former Wales assistant manager Raymond Verheijen believes Aaron Ramsey should consider leaving Arsenal in order to prevent being injured on such a regular basis. (Buy Cheap Fifa 15 Coins Online,We are the Top-rated sellers for cheap Fut coins!)

The 24-year-old suffered his third hamstring injury of the season during the Gunners’ 2-1 win over Leicester City on Tuesday night and is now a doubt for Wales’ Euro 2016 qualifier against Israel in late March.

Verheijen, who is no stranger to controversy, believes the Arsenal midfielder must consider leaving the Emirates Stadium for a club with a more balance training regime.

VERHEIJEN: RAMSEY SHOULD CONSIDER ARSENAL EXIT

"There are two solutions. Either Arsenal sort themselves out or Aaron has to go to a club... where training is more balanced," Verheijen was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"It's one or the other. The medical staff can only cure the problem but football coaches cause the problem because they are responsible for football training sessions."

RAMSEY TO MISS FOUR WEEKS

Ramsey is expected to be out of action for at least four weeks, according to the Telegraph, after lasting just nine minutes as a second-half substitute in the Gunners’ win over Leicester.

The Wales international missed six weeks earlier this season season after suffering a similar injury against Galatasaray and has only managed to make five appearances since making his comeback.

INJURY-PLAGUED CAREER

Ramsey has missed large periods of his career through injury. His worst injury to date came in a match against Stoke City in February 2010, when he suffered a broken leg.

The former Cardiff City starlet was previously a much-maligned figure at Arsenal, but transformed his reputation with a series of sensational performances last season.

Ramsey scored 16 goals in 34 appearances for the Gunners last term, but has failed to hit the same heights during the current campaign, netting a more modest six goals from 25 matches.

POTENTIAL DESTINATIONS FOR RAMSEY

If Ramsey was to take Verheijen’s advice and leave Arsenal, where is he likely to end up?

For starters, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would be extremely reluctant to sell to a direct rival - this is a player with match-winning capabilities, as we all witnessed last season.

Manchester United attempted to sign Ramsey before he joined Arsenal in 2008 - they even published a story on their official website claiming a deal had been agreed - and the Red Devils would surely be interested in the Welshman.

Manchester City would also be keen on the Arsenal star, provided they were convinced he could reproduce last season’s form in the future.

But Wenger would surely rather sell to an overseas club.

RAMSEY BELONGS AT ARSENAL

It’s unlikely that either Real Madrid or Barcelona would be interested in Ramsey - he is not a world-class central midfielder - while a move to either France or Italy seems similarly unrealistic.

Ramsey belongs at Arsenal - but Wenger must find a way to combat the midfielder’s injury problems.
